Social responsibility

At Tata Ma Tarps & Linings we are deeply passionate about our nation and that flows over into our business. We are committed to the empowerment of our people, living in the informal settlements (squatter camps) all around our cities, by creating jobs and the water proofing of their homes.

We currently provide an income to 50 households in Tembisa, Diepsloot, Olivenhoutbosch and Mamelodi respectively. Our hearts desire is to increase this within the next few years.

We estimate that we have helped waterproof at least 40000 shacks since we first started our project in 2001. Although this number is increasing radically as we receive more support from our suppliers and clients alike.

We regularly go into new areas donating several tons of waterproofing a year into those areas that need it the most.
